          <dc:description>The Sutta which describes the meanings about rank foods is Āmagandha Sutta. In this research paper, the meanings of āmagandha are presented as expounded in Sutta-nipāta Pāli and Aṭṭhakathā, other Pāli Aṭṭhakathās, ùīkās and Abhidhans. In presenting the research paper, the text is divided into three parts namely introduction, body of the text and conclusion. Different views on āmagandha at a time when there were many different in India are presented in the introduction. Regarding the meanings of āmagandha, the expositions from Pāli, Aṭṭhakathās, ùīkās and Abhidhans are presented in the body of the text. That the meaning of āmagandha should be understood and observed in accord with Buddha's will is presented in the conclusion.&#13; Introduction</dc:description>
