AN ANALYSIS ON THE STOCK MARKET IN MYANMAR, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO FIRST PRIVATE BANK (Phyo Wai Htun, 2019) Phyo Wai Htun Financial system isthe major driving factor for the economic development of the country. Capital market is related to the economic growth of the country. The study aimsto examine the current situation of the stock market and to provide knowledge to the potential private investor with the choice of investment strategy and to the firms in maximizing the value of index to attract the investment decision.As study design, descriptive methods are used together with regression analysis. Secondary data and most of information are collected from the web site of YangonStock Exchange. The study is only emphasized to the analysis of stock market in Myanmar with special reference to First Private Bank for 2017 and 2018. According to the analysis, the stock price is independent variable and the volume of share traded is dependent variable. The quantity demand of traded share is price elastic.The market capitalization of the Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) varied according to the variation of price and the volume of traded share. Generally,the market index of YSX create the favorability of buyer to buy the stock at the lowest price.
