          <dc:description>The objectives of the study are to analyze the effect of job demand and job&#13; resource factors on burnout and the effect of burnout on job satisfaction of academic&#13; staff in Yangon University of Economics. This study is conducted based on the survey&#13; with 146 numbers of academic staff in Yangon University of Economics. The&#13; structured questionnaire with five-point Likert Scale is used to collect the primary&#13; data for this study. The findings of this study show that job demand factors of role&#13; conflict, time pressure , emotional demand have positive significant effect on burnout.&#13; If school reduces some of the physical workload of teachers such as administrative&#13; works performed by the teacher and provide sufficient time for teachers to complete&#13; their tasks, it can reduce the burnout. Among the job resource factors, supervisor’&#13; support has negative significant effect and personal development has positive&#13; significant effect on burnout. From this study schools must be able to provide&#13; sufficient resources or facilities as supports to academic staff that are to reduce the&#13; burnout of academic staff. Burnout has negative significant effect on job satisfaction.&#13; This study point out that the nature of work life and working conditions are need to&#13; be improve in order to reduce the burnout of academic staff and thus increase their job&#13; satisfaction.</dc:description>
