<dc:title>A Study on the Impact of HIV/AIDS on Quality of Life in Hlaing Township, Yangon, Myanmar (Nan Su Khaing, 2025)</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Nan Su Khaing</dc:creator>
<dc:description>HIV/AIDS continues to pose significant public health challenges in urban
Myanmar, particularly in densely populated areas such as Hlaing Township.
Understanding the quality of life (QoL) among people living with HIV/AIDS is
essential for developing responsive and inclusive health interventions. This study aims
to examine the multidimensional factors influencing QoL among HIV-positive
individuals in Hlaing Township, focusing on physical, psychological, social, and
environmental domains. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing
survey data from 120 respondents collected through the WHOQOL-HIV BREF
instrument. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze and interpret the quantitative
findings. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to interpret the findings.
Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to interpret the findings. Results
indicate that while ART adherence is generally high, psychological distress, stigma,
and economic hardship significantly affect QoL. Social support emerged as a protective
factor, while gaps in mental health services and health literacy remain. The study
recommends targeted, community-based strategies to improve QoL and reduce
structural and social barriers to care.</dc:description>
