A Study on Skill Development for Employment Opportunity Among Graduates ( Kyaw Hla Phyu, 2024) Kyaw Hla Phyu This study explores skills development for employment opportunities among graduates in Myanmar. The objective of the study is to investigate factors contributing to potential mismatches between the skills acquired and job market demands. Employing a descriptive analysis, this research draws on both primary and secondary data. Primary data were gathered through a structured questionnaire survey targeting graduates who completed soft skills and technical training programs after graduation, using a random sampling approach. The survey collected both quantitative and qualitative data on graduates' perceptions of skill assessment, job search experiences, linkages between skill development and employment, and satisfaction with skill development institutions. Results indicate a generally positive alignment of skills with job market needs but also highlight gaps in specific areas, such as practical experience and advanced technical skills, that could be addressed to improve employability. The findings suggest that refining training program content and delivery methods could better bridge the gap between skills development and employment opportunities, ultimately supporting more effective education-to-employment transitions. 2024-10-01 https://meral.edu.mm/records/10559
