<dc:title>A Study of Elephant Foot Yam Cultivation and Perception towards Sustainable Agriculture Practices in Mindat Township. (Chaw Su Su Aye, 2024)</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Chaw Su Su Aye</dc:creator>
<dc:description>This study focuses on sustainability agriculture practices of Elephant Foot Yam or
Wa-U in Mindat Township in Chin State. The research aims to assess the present state of
the Elephant Foot Yam or Wa-U industry in Midat Township and examine the key elements
that impact the sustainable agricultural practices of farmers engaged in cultivating Elephant
Foot Yam or Wa-U in the same area. This review employs a descriptive methodology. This
work utilizes both primary and secondary data. The collection of main data involves
conducting field research and interviews with 175 Wa-U producers in Mindat Township
using the basic random sample technique. A structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert
scale is used to evaluate the perspectives of Wa-U producers about their comprehension of
agricultural methods, access to financing, training of farmers, obstacles, and sustainable
agricultural practices. The study also analyzes the sustainable agriculture practices of Wa
U growers. It is found that Wa-U growers have some knowledge about sustainable farming.
On the other hand, there are some factors that hinder them to practice sustainable agriculture
practices. Wa-U growers have a low level of credit access at their region and some kinds
of challenges such as pests and diseases that destroy firms. And, there is weak quality
control practice and lack of technology for finished goods. Accordingly, it is found that
Wa-U growers have a difficulty to receive reasonable price for their crops.</dc:description>
