          <dc:title>A Study on the Empowerment of women in Myanmar (Case Study : Women in Zabu Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw) ( Min Hein Thant, 2024)</dc:title>

          <dc:description>This study assessed the empowerment of women: socio-cultural, economic, 
familial, political/ legal and psychological. Empowerment of women is a vital feature 
of attaining the gender equality. It includes increasing the freedom of movement, 
making the decisions, economic stability, getting support from family and relationship 
with community. This study aims to assess the gender equality in Myanmar and 
Myanmar women’s empowerment. Descriptive method is utilized with primary and 
secondary data. Primary data is collected from the survey of 150 women living in Zabu 
Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. It is found that Myanmar women have access to 
education, participation in politics and labour force participation without any 
discrimination. The respondents also have women’s empowerment according to the 
result of survey. It is found that both government’s ministries and other organizations 
are significant for the development of Myanmar women and gender equality.</dc:description>
