          <dc:title>The Effect of Performance Appraisal on Employee Performance in GGI Nippon Life Insurance Co. Ltd ( Ei Myat Thu, 2024)</dc:title>

          <dc:description>The objectives of this study are to analyze the effect of performance appraisal on
employee performance and to analyze the moderating effect of motivation on the
relationship between performance appraisal and employee performance at GGI Nippon
Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Primary data and secondary data are used in this study. Among 235
employees, 147 employees are selected by using a simple random sampling method, and
the sample size is calculated with Raosoft formula. Primary data are collected through a
structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and an online survey method.
Descriptive statistics and linear regression methods are applied for data analysis. This study
found that performance appraisal feedback, performance appraisal process, performance
appraisal goals, and performance appraisal methods have positive and significant effects
on employee performance. Moreover, motivation has a partial moderating effect on the
relationship between performance appraisal feedback, performance appraisal goals, and
employee performance. Motivation has a statistically significant and positive moderating
effect on the relationship between the performance appraisal process, performance
appraisal methods, and employee performance. GGI Nippon Life Insurance Co. Ltd should
use an appraisal system by integrating it with business policies and HR practices. It should
establish performance standards for get organization's success.</dc:description>
