          <dc:description>Cassia glauca Lam. is a medicinal plant, belonging to the family Caesalpiniaceae. This plant is locally known as pyi-pan-nyo. The plant samples such as leaves are collected from Pan-Taw-Yoe village, Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyarwady Region during the flowering and fruiting period. The morphological characters and phytochemical test according to the methods of Marini Bettolo (1981), Trease and Evans (2002) and British Pharmacopoeia (1968). The plant is used as medicine in the treatment of diabetes, gonorrhoea, dysuria, dysentery, fever, colic and cough.</dc:description>
