          <dc:creator>OhnmarZaw</dc:creator>
<dc:description>In this paper, the differential calculus is used to solve the applied optimization problems. Firstly, the definitions of extreme values and the critical points of the function are presented. And then, the necessary technique to obtain the optimal solutions of the problems is discussed. Finally, some problems with finding the maximum square cut area of the box, fencing and cross in a forest are solved by using derivative test. Moreover, the shapes of the graph of the functions are drawn by applying Matlab.</dc:description>
