An Analysis on Costs and Benefits of the No.1 Bayint Naung Bridge (1989/90- 2014/15) Yin Myo Oo Within Yangon City, the No.1 Bayint Naung Bridge is one of the infrastructure projects implemented since the late 1990s. This study aims to examine mainly the monetary benefits as well as other economic and social advantages gained from the No.1 Bayint Naung Bridge in Yangon. To analyze costs and benefits of the Bridge, financial costs and benefits from the side of public sector are taken into consideration. Net Present Value Method, Benefit-Cost Ratio Method and Pay- back Period Method are used. From the NPV analysis, it was found that the bridge project is worth implemented. Result from Cost Benefit Analysis shows that total benefit is greater than total construction cost, so the project was cost effective.
