<dc:description>Saving is an important behavior that can promote economic growth and development.
There are few constraints to saving of the government staff since they receive insufficient
salary and other income. The objectives of this study is to determine the relationship
between saving behavior and financial literacy, peer influence and self-control among
government staff in Thanlyin Township. The samples comprised of (350) staff in academic
and administration departments of the government offices in Thanlyin Township. This
study is based on collection of primary data. SPSS software was used for Pearson
Correlations and Multiple Regression Analysis. The study reveals that financial literacy and
self-control has the positive relationship with the saving behavior, peer influence has the
weakest correlation with saving behavior. The Government should provide more incentives
and opportunities to save by offering wide range of instruments.</dc:description>
