<dc:title>Principal Component Analysis of Infant Mprtality in Myanmar (Hsu Hlaing Phyo, 2018)</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Hsu Hlaing Phyo</dc:creator>
<dc:description>Infant mortality rate is considered as sensitive indicators of living standard and
socio-economic conditions of a country. This study discusses the interdependency and
relationship between infant mortality rate and some variables of demographic, socioeconomic
and housing characteristics for 54 townships in Myanmar by applying
principal component analysis to determine the interdependency of these variables.
The analysis produces three main components charactering each by household's
education status, trban society and economic status. In order to find out the effect on
infant mortality rate, multiple regression analysis technique is applied by using
dominated principal components as independent variables, and infant mortality rate as
dependent variable. Regression analysis explained 72.4% of total variation of infant
mortality rate in Myanmar, so it is concluded that variables on household's education
stafus, living in urban areas, and economic status in household could be main factors
for detertnining the infant motrality rate in Myanmar"</dc:description>
