<dc:title>Effect of Migration on Socio-Economic Status of Migrant Families (A Case Study of Selected Villages in Danubyu Township, Ayeyarwady Region) (Ei Mon Theik, 2021)</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Ei Mon Theik</dc:creator>
<dc:description>Migration may change the rural livelihood structures with economic and social
impacts on education and living standards on migrant families. The objective is to
examine the effect of Migration on the livelihoods of rural families in the ten villages
of the Kyon Ta Naw (West) village tract in Danubyu Township. The study used a
descriptive method based on primary and secondary data through face-to-face
interviews. Total respondents included a total of one hundred and fifty households. The
result found that migrant families have significantly improved their expenses on
education, income, health, and the essential requirements of the household in which to
invest small-scale economic activities and support with the village's infrastructure. This
study suggests that the authorities cause many job opportunities based on survey
findings. The government will need to set and implement a regional development
strategy and programs to balance the growth and development between rural and urban
environments.</dc:description>
