          <dc:title>Myanmar Carriages Extracted from Mural Paintings</dc:title>

          <dc:description>This research paper is a study of Myanmar carriages from mural painting through a case
study of propose from mural painting. The records of carriages from Myanmar may be
seen in palm-leaf inscriptions, stone inscriptions, ink inscriptions and wall paintings like in
other countries. Basically there are two kinds of carriage in Myanmar.
Alingaya(Alaṅ kāra)carriage was used by King and prince and, warrior and  hero used the
Yodhara(Yodharatha) carriage. In this paper horse carriages from Baganperiod, Inwa period,
Nyaungyan period and Konbaung period are presented according to the murals from each
period. The old periods were changed utensils and other modern luxurious materials were
improved due to the developed idea by creating many kinds of production. As the same
way horse carriages were used in continuous periods. Art and craft works of floral designs
are embellished in higher level. By aim and objective of studying, horse carriages were
used in not only transportation, but also touring around the city of Kings with four combat
arms, military operation with horse carriages (war chariots). Horse carriages are used by
various kinds of living standard of people. Many kinds of method can help to researcher.
In art subject, stone inscription, ink inscription, palm leaf inscription, the ruins of old
monuments, the remains of pieces of utensils, art and craft works, wall paintings of
temples and stupas, hair and dress styles in paintings, wooden sculptures, stone
sculptures, marble relief, terracotta and other art and craft works tell about the history of
a country such as: education, socio-economic condition, culture and civilization, trade and
commerce, belief and religion, transportation living standard, political affairs, military
affairs, administration and city state</dc:description>
