<dc:title>Work Life Balance and Employee Engagement of Airlines Staffs in Myanmar (Mya Myitzu, 2022)</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Mya Myitzu</dc:creator>
<dc:description>The quality of work life balance of employees is recognized as one of the
determinants of their engagement at the work places. This study aims to examine the
influencing factors on work life balance of employees who are working at the international
airlines in Myanmar and to analysis the effect of work life balance on employee
engagement. There are (5) airlines currently operating in Myanmar. Among them, two
international airlines: Myanmar National Airlines and Myanmar Airway International are
selected because these two airlines operate to several international destinations from
Yangon International Airport as a home base. The sample size is 130 employees which are
randomly taken from the total population of employees of the selected airlines. The results
of the analysis indicates that family factors are the largest influencing effects on work life
balance of airline staffs followed by psychological factors of the staffs. All measures of
work life balance, except for family satisfaction and role conflict have the significant
positive effect on employee engagement of the airline staffs. The study suggests that the
formulation and implementation of work life practices should be cascaded to the
departmental levels. Existing practices should be enriched to ensure that they are
comprehensive and suit the needs of employees.</dc:description>
