“A Geographical Study on Irrigated Land Used in Wetlet Township(from 1999-2000 to 2017-2018)” Nay Lin Thant The economy of Myanmar is mainly based on agriculture. As the study area is well known for agriculture, the socio-economic conditions of Wetlet Township may be affected by the development of agricultural Land Use. Wetlet Township does two types of agricultural activities such as eastern rain-fed ya crops cultivation and the western irrigated le crops (especially in paddy; summer paddy and monsoon paddy). In this research, the main aim is to observe the concentration of irrigated lands in the study area. Out of which (69) village tracts of Township, western (48) village tracts are cultivated by irrigation especially in paddy cultivation. This variation led to difference of population distribution and density of eastern and western portions of Wetlet Township.
