Design and Construction of Microcontroller Based User Settable Count Down/Count Up Timer Phyu Phyu Mar,Dr Aye Thida Aung, Dr A simple counter down/up seven segments (LED) timer counts in minutes and seconds. Keypad buttons below the LED provide control of unit, allowing user settable the desired count down/up time in minutes and seconds and start/stop keypad buttons. Completion of the count down/up is indicated by an alarm that starts when the count down/up has finished and the display reads zero/user defined number. The alarm is stopped by passing the start/stop button. It was based AT 89C51 microcontroller (µC).
