<dc:title>Myanmar’s Logistics Infrastructure Development Strategy and ASEAN Logistics Connectivity</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Swe Swe Zin</dc:creator>
<dc:description>The current political, economic and social reforms of
Myanmar have urged that there should be improvements to the hard
infrastructure in all modes of transport in order to provide the
efficient and effective logistics services for the international trade
transaction. In this regard, this paper will present the current situation
of air transport, maritime transport, road transport, and railway
transport engaged in the transportation sector of Myanmar, and the
concomitant policies and strategic programs for the logistics
infrastructure development in relation to such modes of transport. In
addition, the master plan on sustainable national transport
development in Myanmar will be discussed. Moreover, since logistics
plays a vital role in ASEAN region for the enhancement of its
competitive advantages, this paper will also explain what and how
transport facilitation initiatives in connection with ASEAN logistics
connectivity are being taken by the government of Myanmar.</dc:description>
