A Comparative Study of Russian and Myanmar Riddles Htar Htar Thwe When Studying Russian riddles, it is found that there are many similarities to these of Myanmar people. Among all the riddles from Russia, riddles related to utilities, fruits, animals, body and parts of humans are presented. On the other hand, Myanmar riddles related to utilities, fruits, animals and human body parts are presented. Therefore, this paper is aimed at making a comparative study of Russian and Myanmar riddles to find out to what extent the similarities are. Russian people created the riddles for learning and Myanmar people created the riddles for playing at the villages and improving the knowledge. The study is conducted with the aim of improving students’ cognitive thinking skills, team work, general knowledge and vocabulary skills.
